Hyderabad: As the TRS government is thinking about including model schools into its 'KG to PG' plot, there is a developing interest to overhaul the establishments and afterwards concentrate on building new ones.
With the NDA government delinking itself from the model schools scheme, most state governments, including Telangana, are uncertain about proceeding with them.
The Telangana state government was wanting to develop 125 model schools, yet may drop it after the Center's choice. These schools will now be set up as 'KG to PG' foundations.
Telangana has 182 operational model schools. The plan was propelled by the then UPA government in a joint effort with state governments to give quality training to provincial understudies other than guaranteeing high enlistment among young ladies.
One manual each was chosen in view of financial backwardness. The schools have Classes 6 to 12, and the medium of the guideline is English. Near one lakh understudies and 5,000 staff, instructing and non-educating, are connected with these schools.
Telangana State Mo-del Schools Teachers Federation president B. Kondaiah valued the administration's expectation to change over model schools into organisations drafted for 'KG to PG' yet needed the current schools to be incorporated into the leader conspire.
"These schools have the great foundation and require the least use for development like the development of lodgings for young men and different offices. The majority of the schools have in convenience for young lady understudies," he included.
TRS Teachers MLC P. Sudhakar Reddy said the current model schools would either be ingested into the 'KG to PG' plot or be made part of the private welfare social orders.
